May 17, 2013 – Park City, UT - At the annual U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Congress held in Park City on May 17th, Wes Preston, WVBBTS Freestyle Development Program Director, was one of five recipients of a USSA Gold Award.  An incredible honor, Wes proudly received this USSA Development Coach of the Year Award and in addition was presented with the award for USSA Freestyle Domestic Coach of the Year!     

Having been involved in freestyle skiing his entire life, Wes competed as a young athlete in moguls, aerials, and ballet.  Upon retiring from competitive skiing, Wes coached for FLY Freestyle, Freestyle America, and the Lake Placid Olympic Jumping Complex Aerial Program, before taking a full-time position with WVBBTS in 2010.
